Pipe Selection/visibility in output

There is often need to hide certain pipes from the final output. Either they are dummy pipes that have no relation to the final layout or they are areas outside the specific design network that do not need to be included in the report. Microdraina...

Drive - When creating vehicles enable wheels on separate axles to be adjusted

At present you cannot have varying wheel sizes on each axle and instead can only have one fixed wheel size and width. This therefore means we cannot have accurate swept paths tracks for for vehicles and/or trailers where the wheels sizes change. A...

Include check dam option in swales

Check dams are commonly used in swales to temporarily pond runoff to increase pollutant retention and infiltration and decrease flow velocity, but Flow does not have an option to model them. As they are a recognised SuDS feature, and commonly used...

Infiltration volume

Add a column called ‘Infiltration Volume’ to the simulation results table which indicates the total volume of water infiltrating into the ground at the upstream manhole during the selected storm.

Urban Creep

Global urban creep isn’t helpful. We have a process of assessing UC on a pipe-by-pipe basis. We separate the areas that UC should be applied to and areas such as flats the highway that don’t need it. If global UC is applied, then you are adding 10...

Infiltration Half Drain time calculations

We have recently been challenged by Wiltshire LLFA regarding half drain times. As I understand it, Flow calculates the half drain time to CIRIA 156 which gives a significantly longer half drain time than the BRE365 method that Micro Drainage uses....

Highlight if the Colebrook-White or the Manning's equations is being used by highlighting (or greying out) the "ks (mm)" or "n" in the link details.

It seems that if a pipe has a swale upstream then the pipe uses the Manning's equations to compute flows etc, but if it has nothing upstream or a pipe upsteam then it uses the Colebrook-White equations. This means that on the same storm water syst...

Provide technical guidance an the use of ReFH2 in Flow

There is an absence of guidance on the use of ReFH2 data in Flow. I understand from discussions with the Help Desk that they don't have access to the software. In the absence of reasonable guidance the ReFH2 features are worthless.

Chainage, pipe bedding and cover grade information in long section exports

Add chainage, pipe bedding and node cover grade information as options for long section outputs. These are standard requirements for a lot of water authorities so would prevent manual changes being required to allow these outputs to be included.
