better layer functions

Items are drawn on whatever layer you happen to be using at the time, rather than breaking down various entities to a corresponding layer. For example, when placing a road all the information for that road is on a single layer and various colours ...

better error reporting

when there is an error with an alignment, the software doesn't tell you where that error actually. You just get the red "i" next to the alignment, saying 2road/feature self interesects" or "cannot merge with finished surface" This is very frustrat...

Update Assign Manhole type when placing schedule to apply DCG

When placing a manhole schedule in PDS, you are only presented with the options to apply SFA 6 or SFA 7 when automatically assigning manhole type. Both of these are now out of date and option for Sewer Sector Guidance DCG would be useful.

When are we getting the ability to model complex junctions?

We have a second Phase to progress of a project previously modelled in PDS, which incorporated complex road junctions. This cannot be imported correctly into live design and is therefore causing an issue.

Incorporate overland flow analysis with below ground drainage design

Provide ability to either have overland flow draining into a pipe network or flooding out of a pipe network to be able to model resulting overland flow paths / flood extents

When modelling overland flows, need the ability to easily add swales / channels to the finished surface

Using the 'Modify levels' command to create a swale feature works, however, this does not create an entity that can be either revised or deleted.

Ability to set individual plot boundary levels and use these to adjust the finished surface (boundary to be any polygon shape)

Increasingly we are working on steep sites where we need to try and make usable gardens by setting gradients, often resulting in level changes at boundaries requiring retaining walls

The gradients are shown on pipes are currently shown to 1 decimal place. E.G 1:300.0 which is unnecessary, it should be 1:300 or at least be able to change the previsions.

more flexibility on colours within Vehicle Swept Paths

It doesn’t appear (other than via shading – which sometimes over highlights the impact of the tracking on a layout) that there was no way of differentiating between wheels/body overhang lines for forward movements vs reversing. As an example, we s...

Adjusting ground levels on a finished surface

It would be good to adjust the finished surface once roads/plots/drainage have been designed. This would allow 'open space' areas to be created by levelling off parts of a site. Or to create bunds/banks as part of landscaping.
