When a road/plot is added the finish surface displays this, and then ties back to the base surface as soon as possible. While I can add batters/features to a road/plot to control how this is tied into the finished surface, the issue still remains for points picked up in the base surface that are transferred to the finished surface as the software sees them as unchanged. This can lead erroneous peaks/troughs in the finished surface which can cause issues when placing drainage nodes, as they snap to that erroneous finished level, or working out cut/fill volumes.
It is possible to amend surfaces generated from a topo, which allows the creation of the landscaped areas. However this would then affect the finished surface as it takes its information from that base surface. So ignoring/amended a point in the base topo surface will affect the cut/fill volume of a design, plus how long/cross sections are displayed.
Please could it be possible to add breaklines or amend/delete level nodes within the finished surface, so the finished surface can be ‘landscaped’ to better suit the intended design layout. This would also then allow for cut/fill volumes to tally between the base topo and the finished surface.
